Towne Mortgage Has Entered the Chat … as One of the Best & Brightest Companies To Work For

TROY, Mich. –- Towne Mortgage Company is entering the chat in a way it has never entered before – as one of “Metro Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.”

Each year companies from around the country compete for this prestigious award and are only selected if their human resource practices are exceptional.  Towne Mortgage is proud to accept the award for the Metro Detroit area and was recognized during the recent virtual Illuminate Business Summit Week.

Towne Mortgage Company’s Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Jamie Earles, helped prepare its first-ever Best and Brightest submission.

“It is with great honor I got the opportunity to prepare for and participate in the 2021 Best and Brightest program with my fellow HR team members,” Earles said. “Our company values and culture are of utmost importance to us, which is why showcasing the great things we do at Towne was the best part of it all.  Towne’s benefit programs are unmatched and evolving.  We continue to find new ways to give back to our community and promote flexible work options that help balance peoples lives across the entire company.  To keep our culture, we operate as though we are a family, and it is the best benefit you get when working here!  Next year, Towne celebrates its 40th Anniversary, and what a great way to celebrate all that we have done in those years.   I look forward to the years to come, to be able to look back on all that we have accomplished, and to continue achieving the Best & Brightest Award status as the years go on.”

Towne was assessed for several key components relative to other nationally recognized winners.   The components include Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development, Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance, Community Initiatives; Strategic Company Performance and the Best of the Best Small Business, Medium Business and Large Business.

Chief People Officer Monica Horger said the company is “very excited to receive” the award.

“It is the first year we have participated, yet we were certain that we had a strong culture and an extremely engaged team,” Horger said. “This award substantiates that Towne is doing the right things for its team members, customers, and community.  Each team and leader is utilizing the feedback from our survey to identify areas of improvement that will ensure our teams operate to the best of their ability.  We hope that our customers will feel the happiness of our team members and take pride in the services we provide.  Ultimately, this award will help us recruit and retain great talent.  Looking to the future, we expect to see Towne named one of Metro Detroit’s Best & Brightest Companies to Work For in 2022 and beyond.”
