Take for example fifthring, overall winner of the Work-Life Balance category. Founded in 1991 in Aberdeen, Scotland, fifthring has evolved to become one of the world’s leading communications agencies. The agency is definitely doing something right. Just ask 22-year employee Bill Diak. In a company blog about his career, the 90-year-old said, “I enjoy the work, but the biggest reason has been the people who have worked here over the years. Then there is Benchmark Hospitality International, winner of the overall Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention Category. One of their programs is Benchmark University. Employees are always encouraged to voice their ideas and suggestions. The relaxed company culture encourages fun, laughter, and sharing, which results in a cohesive team that continuously produces exceptional work, according to their website. “Never a dull moment, the office moves at a fast pace, while offering plenty of perks.”
