GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Mercantile Bank announced the expansion of its banking team in Southeast Michigan through the addition of two team members who bring diverse talents and expertise to the commercial banking office in Troy.
Tara Aldea, First Vice President, Senior Treasury Sales Officer III, is bringing her 27 years of banking and treasury management experience to help Mercantile develop existing and attract new relationships in the Southeast Michigan market.
With a core focus on relationship development, Aldea will help mid-sized and corporate customers as well as non-profit organizations achieve their financial goals.
Tamara Flake, Vice President, Government Banking Sales Officer, a 25-year veteran of the financial services industry, brings extensive experience in government banking with a foundation in service and creative troubleshooting solutions.
Flake will focus on product development for Mercantile’s public unit and municipal customers in Southeast Michigan. As an advocate for her clients, Flake is highly responsive and transparent. She is a current board member for Michigan Women in Finance, Treasurer and board member of the Macomb County Treasurers Association, and a member of the Michigan Diversity Council Advisory Board.
