Petty Officer 2nd Class Christopher Stefanides, a native of Macomb, Michigan, joined the Navy to be challenged by doing something different, work with his hands and travel the world. Now, eight years and eight months later, Stefanides serves with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3, working with one of the Navy’s most advanced helicopters at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego.
