DETROIT – CREW Detroit (Commercial Real Estate for Women), the industry’s premier business network dedicated to increasing success of individuals in the commercial real estate (CRE) industry, has announced the 2022 Board of Directors. The new board has been voted for and approved by the general membership of the organization and will begin duties in the new year.
CREW Detroit’s Board of Directors uses their years of expertise to set and accomplish the chapter’s strategic goals – all aimed at helping individuals in commercial real estate in Detroit achieve high success in the local market. Serving on the Board of Directors is a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to expand their leadership skills and network among other ambitious women and men working in the field.
CREW Detroit welcomes the following newly appointed professionals:
- Jennifer Thomas, Officer /President-Elect to Sponsorship Committee
- Karen Gerstenberger, Officer / Treasurer
- Alicia Washeleski, Director / Board Liaison to Professional Development Committee
- Molly Gole, Director / Board Liaison to Impact Awards Committee
- Melinda Saylor, Director / Board Liaison to Golf Committee
These professionals join the remaining board members who will continue to serve for the duration of their term: Board Liaison to Communications Committee Jacqueline Trost, Board Liaison to Membership Committee Betsy Hobbs Wagner, Board Liaison to Programs Committee Meredith Vyn, Board Liaison to Outreach Committee Kimberly Steiner, and Past President and Board Liaison to DEI Committee Kelli Herman.
The Executive Committee includes President Jennifer Chambers, CPA of Plante Moran, President-Elect Lisa Robach of HED, Past-President Kelli Herman of Neumann/Smith Architecture and Treasurer Rachel L. Smith, PE, LEED AP, CFM of PEA Group.
This year, the CREW Detroit chapter celebrates 35 years as one of the first groups in the national Commercial Real Estate Women Network. Now with nearly 200 members, CREW Detroit is comprised of some of the most influential and enterprising experts in Detroit. CREW educates women about the CRE industry and provides members with a foundation and resources to develop skills to become an effective leader while creating learning opportunities for professionals to succeed.
