LIVONIA, Mich. — TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants, a Michigan-based family owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual dining, fast casual, quick service, virtual kitchen and family dining restaurants throughout the state, announced the promotion of John Andrews to chief operating officer.

Andrews, who was previously the senior vice president of TSFR’s casual dining division, has served more than 10 years in leadership at the restaurant group, overseeing some of its most significant brands.

“In his many years at TSFR, John has led the way, inspiring our TEAM to be the best in everything we do,” said Mark Schostak, executive chairman of TSFR. “As the industry addresses dynamic changes, we are confident that John’s leadership and vision will continue to position our portfolio for the future.”

Andrews joined TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants in 2012 as vice president for the then-recently purchased Applebee’s brand and was instrumental in transitioning the Applebee’s team into the restaurant group. Within his first three years, he spearheaded the remodeling of 40 Applebee’s restaurants across the state.

In his new role, Andrews will continue to oversee the Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen and MOD Pizza brands and will also become increasingly involved with TSFR’s Wendy’s locations. In addition, he will continue to guide the facilities, marketing and training departments, while adding the human resources department to his responsibilities. Andrews will also serve as a member of TSFR’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT), which guides broader organizational strategy.
