The Association for Women in Communications (AWC) Detroit Chapter and Cisco Connected Women will co-host a viewing of the documentary Detected the Movie. Pat Anstett (award-winning AWC Detroit member) will be the keynote speaker for this event, which will be held on Wednesday, October 26th from 2:30-4:00 pm.
The free event will be held in the Cisco office located at 2000 Town Center 4th Floor Southfield, MI and will be simultaneously broadcast over Cisco TV to their office in Grand Rapids, MI.

“We are so excited to offer a viewing party of this twenty minute documentary,” states Nicole Scheffler of Cisco Connected Women. “Detected the Movie was funded by Cisco Connected Women in hopes of providing more accurate screening solutions for women to prevent breast cancer.”

“We are honored to have distinguished AWC Detroit member Pat Anstett speak at this event,” says chapter president, Deniella Ortiz-Lalain. “Anstett has been a medical writer for over 40 years and is the author of “Breast Cancer Surgery & Reconstruction: What’s Right for You”. Her knowledge of this important topic complements our joint initiative with Cisco Connected Women of sharing information on medical options available to women.”

Both organizations are committed to the advancement of women and increasing awareness of breast cancer detection and prevention.
