Here at Corp! magazine, we know that most of us have to work. We don’t have a lot of choice in the matter. But we love what we do, and that makes it a lot easier.
That is one reason that we wanted to honor the work of Ashlynne Potts, a Bennigan’s bartender in Mt. Pleasant, who recently was named Bennigan’s official 2014 St. Patrick’s Day Bartender.
Bennigan’s and TY KU Sake and Spirits teamed up to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in a unique way this year. In search of the world’s perfect Blarney Beverages, TY KU and Bennigan’s collaborated with superstar recording artist and former “The Voice” judge CeeLo Green. This “Green Team” created a St. Paddy’s Day delight – the Lucky Lemonade.
Served in a mason jar, this concoction is the perfect addition to the restaurant’s famous St. Paddy’s Day ticket. The “Green Team” wasn’t done yet and developed another Shamrockin’ spirit – the Green Island Breeze.
Now they just needed stars for internet videos so the drinks could go viral. The solution was a contest. Bartenders across all of Bennigan’s chain were asked to come up with a new TY KU cocktail recipe, and the winner would star in a video showing the world how to make their tasty recipes. Thanks to Ashlynne’s creativity and bartending skills, she is in a video showing the world how to make the tasty Green Island Breeze.
“Bennigan’s has taught me what ‘Guests for life through legendary service’ truly means. It’s through this dedication and hard work that we bring an all-encompassing experience (to our customers), and legendary drinks is just one component I have had the privilege of sharing,” Potts said.
Potts and Justine Shields, also from the Bennigan’s in Mt. Pleasant, showed off CeeLo’s other creation – the Lucky Lemonade. Now, these videos can be seen around the world on PerezHilton.com and will remain on the site until they reach 1 million views.

Cocktail Recipes
Green Island Breeze
1.5 ounces TY KU Citrus Liqueur
1.25 ounces Coconut Rum
2 ounces pineapple juice
1 ounce lemon lime soda
Mix together. Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
Lucky Lemonade
2 ounces TY KU Citrus Liqueur
3 ounce lemonade
.75 ounce Melon Liqueur
Splash of lemon lime soda
Mix together. Garnish with a floating, green apple slice.
