Byrum & Fisk Advocacy Communications, a Michigan public relations firm, announced the recent addition of Amy Bailey to its team as a Communications Strategist.
Bailey brings a wide range of experience from both the newspaper industry and the business world, where she focused on digital marketing, content strategy and social media management. Prior to joining Byrum & Fisk, she was most recently Digital Marketing Manager for a Wisconsin-based grocer. Before that, she was an editor for newspapers in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. From 2000 to 2006, she reported on Michigan politics for The Associated Press, where she covered the state House as well as the governor’s office.
“We are excited to bring Amy’s knowledge of the political landscape in Michigan, as well her recent experience in the digital space, to best serve our firm’s growing list of clients,” said Mark Fisk, partner at Byrum & Fisk. “Her experience on the frontlines of storytelling in the changing online world will be a valuable asset to our clients and our team.”
Bailey started her own business, Amy Bailey Creative Services, in 2019 to help organizations and businesses, both big and small, thrive in developing digital spaces. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Marquette University.
“I am excited to bring my experience to the incredibly talented team at Byrum & Fisk and their amazing clients,” Bailey said. “I started my business as a way to be part of the important conversations happening across the country and I am happy to see that work bring me to a firm where I can continue to make a difference on the issues I care about.”
Bailey grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and currently lives in northeast Wisconsin with her husband David, their son Nolan, and their dog Max. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, working out, listening to podcasts and tweeting about popular culture, music and entertainment. She can be reached at [email protected].
