Join us in the Demo Kitchen at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital as thw Association for Women in Communications (AWC) Detroit Chapter presents a panel discussion with Annabel Cohen, cooking instructor, writer and columnist and Patty LaNoue Stearns, journalist, editor and feature writer. Joining the two journalists is Halle Saperstein, Registered Dietitian at Henry Ford Hospital, who will offer nutritional tips and information.
With so much interest in slow cooking and nutritional fresh foods, how do journalists portray the benefits of healthy eating and the best ways to prepare a wholesome meal when we’re all so busy and time is so short? What should we be blogging about? Which restaurants provide nutritional information and support local growers? How do we make smart decisions when food labeling is up for political discussion?
Registration and networking begins at 5:30, a light supper will be served at 6:00, and the program will commence at 6:45. Cost is $25 for AWC members, $35 for future members, and $15 for students and recent graduates. Visit www.womcomdetroit.org/events for more information and registration.
