OXFORD, Mich. – Oxford Bank, the oldest commercial bank in Oakland County, Michigan, recently remodeled its headquarters at 60 S. Washington Street in Oxford, where it has provided banking services to consumers and businesses for almost 50 years.
Focused on cutting-edge technologies, contemporary design, and high-value customer services, Oxford Bank invites commercial and retail banking customers to stop into the remodeled location and enjoy the latest in banking service amenities. It will also be holding a grand opening event to unveil the headquarters remodel throughout the day on Wednesday, May 28, with free cookies, giveaways and coloring books for the kids. The public is encouraged to stop by to help celebrate.
The newly designed 4,695 square foot building interior has been modernized, featuring new open-concept teller pods designed to create greater access to personal bankers, and two drive-through Interactive Teller Machines for added convenience and speed-of-service.
The revamped headquarters also includes six new bank personnel offices and an expansive conference room on the main floor, available for community use. A coffee bar, popcorn machine, and inviting lounge area are designed for Oxford Bank customers to relax and meet comfortably with bank professionals.
“We redesigned our new headquarters based on feedback from customers on how they want to access the banking services and financial resources they need, when they need them,” said chairman, president and CEO David Lamb. “Our new space represents an evolved, modern way to bank – focused on customer experience and connection. We want people to stop in and feel free to stay a while.”
From 1923 to 1966 Oxford Bank (formerly Oxford Savings Bank) was known by locals as “the bank on the corner” due to its prominent corner location in a beautiful limestone building on North Washington Street in the Village of Oxford. In 1966, it moved to its current location. Its original building, donated by the bank to the Village of Oxford in 1972, is today home to the Northeast Oakland Historical Society and Museum.
“Our new bank headquarters embodies everything Oxford Bank represents – customer service, value, and community connection,” Oxford Bank branch manager Juli Jones said. “I love that, as branch manager, I can easily see and greet customers coming in, and that the tellers can more easily talk with customers without the barrier of traditional teller windows. The added office spaces feature glass walls that encourage interaction to support teamwork and an open and transparent banking experience. We invite the community to stop by, say hello, and discover a truly personal banking experience.”
The public is invited to attend the grand opening of Oxford Bank’s remodeled headquarters from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at 60 S. Washington Street, Oxford, Michigan, on Wednesday, May 28. The ribbon cutting will occur between noon -1 p.m. that day.
In the evening, the bank will host a retirement party for one of its longest tenured Board of Directors, Dr. Mike Kubinski on the same day, from 5-7 p.m. inside the branch.
