Better Made VP Gusmano Elected as Chairman of SNAC International

DETROIT — Better Made Snack Foods vice president Phil Gusmano was recently elected to serve as the Chairman of SNAC International, formerly known as the Snack Food Association.

As chairman of SNAC, Gusmano’s goals are to work with the staff to develop direction on current issues that face the industry in the legislative arena, help to develop programs that bring value to members of the group, and to grow membership. Gusmano has worked at Better Made for 29 years and has been a member of the association for more than 23 years.

SNAC began as The Potato Chip Institute in Cleveland in 1937 and advocates for its members on legislative issues, educates the membership and puts on conferences. Better Made has been a part of the group almost since its inception.

“It is a great honor being asked to be the chairman of the association,” Gusmano said. “I look forward to working with the SNAC team in addressing current issues that challenge our industry.”
