25th Anniversary Honoring Women in Business
Southfield, Michigan: Join us for the 25th Anniversary celebration of NAWBO’s Annual Top 10 Michigan Business Women Awards and Silent Auction on March 28, 2019. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Excel, our 501(c)3 arm which provides on-going education, support and mentoring programs for girls as they start or grow successful business.
This year’s event marks the 25th anniversary of recognizing and honoring influential women in business. The evening begins with highly coveted items at our silent auction, then proceeds with cocktails, a delicious menu and a motivational message delivered by our keynote speaker Barbara McQuade, former United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan and current U of M Law Professor and legal analyst for NBC News and MSNBC.
We will bring together women entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and community leaders for a time of comradery, recognition and celebration. Our organizational theme for the year is “Connect with the Past, Learn from the Present and Grow into the Future.”, says NAWBO GDC President, Priscilla Archangel. Our Presenting Sponsor for the evening is General Motors who has generously supported NAWBO GDC’s initiatives for the past several years. Additional sponsors include Comerica, Comcast Business, UHY and Productions Plus.
NAWBO-GDC values its long- term relationship with all of its partners who support various initiatives and we are excited to introduce this year’s remarkable Michigan women who are making a difference in their companies, in Michigan and in the local economy. This year’s Mistress of Ceremony is Award-Winning Broadcast Journalists Paula Tutman.
