The Power of Podcasts

Tim Ferriss, a “world class” author, is also one of the most popular podcasters. Check him out at www.fourhourweek.com.

Are you driving more than 20 minutes a day?

Chances are, if radio is your thing, you’re listening to the same news or sports cycle over and over again.

There is an alternative and it’s a free opportunity to feed your mind with something you are almost certain to enjoy.

We’re talking about podcasts, available from iTunes or other outlets such as Overcast, which offer an almost limitless selection of audio content on just about any subject—ANYTHING—you can imagine.

Newer vehicles allow you to connect your smartphone so you can effectively “stream” to the speakers, but don’t let the lack of that be an excuse; there are inexpensive speakers available that connect to the headphone jack of your smartphone of choice.

The point of all this is that there is a great deal of content available. And it’s free.

One of my favorites is also one of the most popular (rated “Best of iTunes” in 2014 and 2015).

Tim Ferriss, author of the Four Hour Workweek (published in 2009), began his weekly podcast just two years ago and has (so far) had more than 80 million downloads.

You will almost certainly find the episodes eventually drawing you down various rabbit holes as he interviews a wide variety of notables, “deconstructing” what makes them successful (he recently did just that with Tony Robbins).

When you “subscribe” to a particular podcast, you’ll be able to automatically (or not) download the latest episode, whether that’s Tim Ferriss or other content.

Check out what hundreds of thousands of people have already discovered: that you can invest in yourself without spending a dime.
