Ceremony Honors Best & Brightest, Wellness Winners

The Metro Detroit area and the state of Michigan are full of companies who are doing great work in the business arena and in the area of wellness practices.

The best of the best were honored Nov. 7 at the annual Metropolitan Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For & Michigan Best and Brightest in Wellness awards celebration.

“These companies have focused on making a meaningful impact in their culture,” said Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO of NABR and the Best & Brightest Program. “Employees are their top priority, which has given these elite-thinking companies a competitive advantage.”

Along with the winning companies, 14 distinct “Elite” winners representing 14 different award categories were also rewarded.

These Elite companies demonstrated exceptionally innovative human resource and wellbeing practices, setting high standards for all Michigan businesses. The winners are selected based on their overall high scores and are then named an Elite winner in their respective categories.

The top honors included:

  • The Best of the Best Small Business Metro Detroit, which went to Greenleaf Trust.
  • The Best of the Best Medium Business Metro Detroit, awarded to the Detroit Athletic Club.
  • The Best of the Best Large Business Metro Detroit, which was Barton Malow.
