Dr. Kristin Moody

Principal Consultant, Coach, and Educator, Evolve Network

Dr. Kristin Moody is the principal consultant, coach, and educator at Evolve Network, where her areas of focus include empathetic engagement and leadership, diversity and inclusion, and values-based culture. She also teaches leadership at Morehouse College and for the Mindfulness Coaching School (an International Coaching Federation accreditation program) and has previously taught for the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education, UCLA, Los Angeles and New York City public schools, and Upward Bound. She is an ICF accredited coach with certifications in Positive Psychology and the Neuroscience of Learning and volunteers as a USA Boxing coach in her spare time.

Dr. Pauline Furman, MSW, PhD, MEd, LPC

Executive Director, The Center for Individual & Family Counseling, Inc.

Dr. Pauline Jones Furman is the Executive Director and owner of the Center for Individual and Family Counseling. She has been in private practice for 29 years. Her specialty is marital therapy, focusing on couples with blended families as well as issues surrounding bereavement and loss, confusion of values or purpose, depression or anxiety, eating disorders, separation or divorces, post-traumatic stress, self-control, alcohol or drug abuse, sexual abuse, work-related stress or problems. Dr. Furman provides emergency psychological first aid services to a variety of businesses, companies, schools, and organizations. She goes on-site following traumatic events including, bank robberies, suicides, homicides, and death on the job. Dr. Pauline J. Furman, was the host and creator of “Matters of Your Heart” an innovative and proactive talk show that aired on WADL TV. Furman taped 4 episodes of the show at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit. The four shows covered such topics as: Domestic Violence, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, and Depression. Furman was delighted about this new opportunity to serve her community and to reach those who are hurting inwardly. “Helping people through and over their pain towards a more productive and fulfilled life is my ultimate goal,” says Furman. Dr. Furman wrote a booklet entitled, “Interview Etiquette.” and she is the author of “When God Shows Up on The Couch.”, launched November 30, 2018. Steven Rotman, MSc

Steven Rotman joined Karyopharm in October 2019 and is responsible for leading the Human Resources function, with a focus on people and culture. Steven has over twenty years’ experience in the field of Human Resources, spanning multiple industries including Healthcare, Software, and Professional Services. Before joining Karyopharm, Steven was the Chief People Officer at Ipswitch, Inc. where he helped the Company earn numerous “Top Places To Work” honors and played an integral role in the Company’s successful sale to Progress Software.  Prior to Ipswitch, Steven worked in the Healthcare IT space for over ten years as the Vice President of Human Resources at NaviNet, a leading healthcare technology company.  Under Steven’s leadership, NaviNet was recognized with numerous “Best-In-Class” employer accolades before NaviNet’s acquisition by NantHealth in 2016.  Steven’s focus has always been on aligning the business needs of an organization with the critical human capital needed to be successful, aiming for a winning culture.  Steven has helped multiple organizations grow both organically and via M&A activity, including helping them to expand their corporate footprint to multiple, global locations. Steven earned his B.A. in Interpersonal Communication and Political Science at the University of New Hampshire and holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Suffolk University.  Steven has been a board advisor to the “Best & Brightest Companies” for both the Boston and the National programs since 2017.

Therese Marie Smith is Director of Education & Programs for Best & Brightest Programs. Her primary goals are to oversee and develop the Peer Discussion Groups that provide a safe and confidential space for HR leaders and other professionals to share experience and best practices. Additionally,  she is responsible for the creation and execution of a variety of educational programs that address important issues faced by today’s business community.
