Celebrating excellence for 64 years, the Matrix Awards honor those individuals and organizations that use innovative communications methods and techniques to tell their story.

This year, we honor Alexis Wiley of Detroit Mayor Duggan’s office for the online and printed directory Dream It. Do It. Detroit, which showcases small businesses in the City’s neighborhoods. Also being honored is Veronika Scott of The Empowerment Plan, for improving conditions for women in the workplace.

Karen Stewart Spica will receive the Headliner Award, which honors a Chapter member for personal and professional achievement.

Keynote speaker, Mary Kramer, publisher of Crain’s Detroit Business, will highlight Detroit Homecoming, to tie into this year’s Matrix theme: Detroit … Then and Now.
