Michigan Products Shine on New Website Devoted to State’s Food and Retail

If you love Better Made, Sanders, American Coney Island or any number of Michigan-made products, then you know how well these items tell the story of the state, its small businesses and its foodie favorites.

A new company now aims to get more people to support the growing number of Michigan-made food and retail products available for residents and tourists.

From Michigan, With Love recently launched to help promote Michigan companies and the state’s economy. The company’s website, www.frommichiganwithlove.com, is now live, as is the Facebook page, www.facebook.com/frommichigan, and Linked In page www.linkedin.com and search Franklin Dohanyos.

From Copper Harbor to Monroe, from Saugatuck to St. Clair Shores, and all points in between, Michigan has an incredible number of hidden gems in the form of companies that produce delicious edibles and beautiful handcrafted retail items. The goal of all three pages is to promote Michigan-based shops that produce food and retail items that can be purchased at the shop and/or shipped anywhere in the state or country.

The pages will occasionally also highlight fun Michigan tourist attractions, fine hotels, major events, and restaurants. The website and social media pages provide company spotlights, photos, and links, but no e-commerce.

“I started promoting a few Michigan companies years ago and it just blossomed from there,” says Franklin Dohanyos, Founder of From Michigan, With Love. “Eleven years ago, I started bundling all of the companies I promoted in one press release and sent it out once or twice a year. It became so successful that From Michigan, With Love was the next evolutionary step.”

“I wanted the logo to look like a post card, sketched it out, and hired Official Monson Design in Troy to create it, and so far everyone loves it. The website was developed by Fuse Technologies in Ferndale, one of Michigan’s best web development companies. It was important that I use Michigan-based companies for both of these. To help Michigan companies promote themselves while keeping costs down, our promotional fees are very competitive.”
