GRAND RAPIDS — Rockford Construction, a nationally recognized construction management, real estate development and property management firm, announced that Steven Frederickson has been appointed to executive vice president of the company.
“In his tenure at Rockford, Steven has led the successful growth and development of our Health and Well-Being market along with providing oversight of our Preconstruction Team,” said Mike VanGessel, CEO of Rockford Construction. “In his role as executive vice president, Steven will also oversee all Rockford markets and regions with a focus on team development, sales and client experience. Steven’s 30+ years of expertise in construction and leadership will enhance our commitment to clients and community as Rockford continues to excel and grow.”
Throughout his career, Frederickson has led significant community building projects ranging from $1 million to $750 million. Projects include his current work for Corewell Health’s Center for Transformation and Innovation, along with previous projects for Auto-Owners Insurance Corporate Headquarters Masterplan, Corewell Health’s Cancer Center and Patient Tower, and Michigan State University’s College of Health and Human Services.
Prior to Rockford, Frederickson served as president and chief operating officer at The Christman Company and as president of Washington, D.C.-based Rock Creek Companies. Frederickson also holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from Ferris State University in Michigan.
