After much excitement, Congress finally passed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, which included several new retirement plan legislations. The SECURE 2.0 and other provisions strive to expand access to retirement plans, increase retirement savings, help American’s preserve income, and streamline retirement plan rules.

The Eastern/Central MI Berger Dealer Group, headquartered in Dearborn, has donated a $51,558 12.9-liter, diesel truck engine to Baker College’s Auto/Diesel Institute of Michigan to enable engine-specific technician training. There is a tremendous need for skilled diesel service technicians.

Interested ADI students taking a closer look at the donated 12.9-liter diesel engine are, from left, Chandler Buck, Morrice; David Johnson, Carson City; Mike Bassett, Edmore; and Patrick Kleikamp, Batavia, Illinois. They will learn about the engine in class by taking it apart and putting it back together.
