DETROIT — Hospitality executive Maria Osmano has been appointed Human Resources Director for NoMad Detroit, the highly anticipated luxury hotel opening within Detroit’s historic Michigan Central district, a transformative development led by Ford Motor Company in partnership with the Sydell Group, the creators of the globally recognized NoMad brand.
Osmano joins NoMad Detroit following nearly twelve years with Cicero Hospitality Group, where she most recently served as Vice President of People, Brand & Operations. During her tenure, she played an instrumental leadership role supporting hotel, restaurant, retail, and development operations across multiple states, helping drive organizational growth while overseeing brand strategy, operational excellence, and multi-concept business development across the company’s expanding portfolio.
Throughout her career with Cicero, Osmano became recognized for her people-first leadership approach, combining expertise in human resources, talent acquisition, employee engagement, culture development, and operational strategy while helping scale and strengthen complex hospitality organizations.

As a female executive and Metro Detroit native with Chaldean and Italian heritage, Osmano represents a new generation of diverse leadership helping shape Detroit’s continued growth as one of the country’s most exciting hospitality and development markets.
A graduate of University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, her multidisciplinary background reflects the local foundation, perspective, and leadership experience that have shaped her throughout her career and continue to guide her as she steps into this next chapter.
