Florence Cement Company Earns Official Women-Owned Business Certification

Florence Cement Company, a third-generation, family-owned, women-led, union contractor specializing in heavy civil and infrastructure construction throughout Southeastern Michigan and beyond, is proud to announce that it has been officially certified as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC.) The WBENC is the nation’s leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women.

This prestigious certification affirms that Florence Cement Company is at least 51 percent owned, operated, and controlled by a woman CEO, Doreen Lanni.
