SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Farbman Group, a full-service commercial real estate company, reported four new team members have joined the firm. Andrew V. Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group, made the announcement.
“As the company continues to expand, we are thrilled to welcome four new employees to our team,” said Farbman. “Each of the new team members brings unique capabilities and professional experience that will support the firm in achieving its goals. I look forward to seeing what these talented individuals will accomplish at the company.”
Alex Harris will serve as property manager for Farbman Group’s New Center One building in Detroit and its Metro Place Properties in Columbus, Ohio. Previously, he was a construction manager and oversaw all facets of numerous large-scale capital projects. Harris also served as a facilities and purchasing manager with a national multi-site healthcare company where he gained experience in lease negotiations, opening new facilities and annual budgeting. He is a graduate of Grand Valley State University.
Tim Welch joins the firm as Field Operations Supervisor for Apex Mechanical Solutions, Farbman Group’s HVAC sister company. Previously, Welch worked as a director of engineering in the hotel industry. Welch also brings professional experience in the fields of construction and maintenance to the firm.
Tarek Lasker was hired to support the accounting department as a staff accountant. Most recently, he worked in New York as a fund accountant for a fund administration company. Lasker obtained his associate degree in accounting from LaGuardia Community College and his bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in economics from Queens College/CUNY. Danielle Griffin will serve as an intern for the company’s accounting department. She is a student at Farmington Hills High School where she is part of the Accelerated College Experience (ACE) program. The program is funded by Oakland Schools to empower first-generation college students to attain an associate degree and graduate high school simultaneously. In the spring, Griffin will graduate from Farmington High School and Oakland Community College with plans to advance on to a 4-year university to acquire her bachelor’s in accounting.
