GRAND RAPIDS — Compass College of Film and Media in Grand Rapids is hosting an event with international distributors Bridgestone Media Group-Global, Christian Cinema, and Green Apple Entertainment February 18 from 12:30 to 5pm. These distributors have films and series on a variety of streaming platforms and cable channels. They plan to purchase several hundred films and series in 2022.
These executives will be sharing what they look for to purchase film, television episodes, etc. and will participate in a Q & A program. Then we will host a Pitch-A-Thon, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet with these executives individually, to pitch their film or story, and build a relationship with an international firm.
This is the first industry event planned as we start our 25th anniversary celebration. Compass has used our industry relationships to create career opportunities for our students and alumni. This event will give the Michigan film and media industry the chance to meet international executives and hopefully create business opportunities for you and our Compass alumni.
