Michigan Business Leaders — Thriving in the New Economy

Business leaders are under more pressure than ever to navigate and succeed in this challenging economy. Corp! magazine chose to recognize the state’s top executives who are finding success and continuing to move toward the future with its inaugural Michigan’s Top Chief Executives recognition program.

Only 21 leaders were chosen for this recognition. The winning executives are driving innovation, bringing business to Michigan and generally making business happen.

Our Top Chief Executive honorees come from throughout Michigan and from various enterprises, but they all have one thing in common — they are determined and committed to finding business success in Michigan.

Corp! asked these winning executives for their thoughts on the role a chief executive plays in a firm’s success; how the economy has affected the role of executives in a company; events that have defined their leadership style; and skill sets that are most important for today’s leaders. We found that their insights and advice can be put into action in any small business or large corporation looking for success in this state.
