Real Estate the 'Down Under' Way Spells Success


MOORESVILLE, N.C., Feb. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Australian native and former Aussie real estate business owner Lawrie Lawrence is showing some Lake Norman area realtors the "down under" way. After selling his successful eight-office real estate company in Australia several years ago, Lawrence traveled the U.S. with his family before choosing the Lake Norman area as their new home. Once settled in, he formed Lawrie Lawrence Residential which has since closed millions of dollars of property and is rising up the real estate charts.

While it is no secret that the real estate industry has taken some lumps lately, the Charlotte/Lake Norman market has undergone an exceptionally challenging phase over the last few years. The Charlotte Regional Realtor Association membership, which includes the Lake Norman real estate market, has declined by almost 1000 agents since the beginning of 2010, with realtors being beaten down by an unforgiving real estate environment and lack of sales volume. However, in the same time frame, Lawrie Lawrence Residential grew by some 400%. Lawrence credits his team's success with a love of the area and giving people what they truly desire. "Selling homes is all about people, listening to their needs and getting results through hard work, strong marketing and a never-say-die attitude," says Lawrence.
