GVSU to host teen entrepreneur camp

    First place team members from TESA 2016 won $2,500 for their idea called, Time to Get Fresh, which would utilize school buses to deliver fresh food from area farms to local elementary schools.

    About 45 high schoolers from 21 schools in West Michigan will spend June 19-23 at Grand Valley State University to learn to create a startup company. Teen Entrepreneur Summer Academy includes team-building activities, hands-on research & field trips. Teams then pitch ideas for prizes totaling $5,000.
