NAWBO Announces 15th Annual Top 10 Michigan Business Women Awards

- Southfield, Mich. - The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Greater Detroit Chapter will honor the Top 10 Michigan Business Women on Thurs., Mar. 19, 2009.
The 15th Annual Awards Luncheon will take place at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle.

Carol Cain, columnist for Detroit Free Press and editorial director for WWJ-TV/CW 50, will serve as mistress of ceremonies. The 2009 Top 10 Michigan Business Women award winners are:

• Patricia A. Cole, Cole Financial Services, Inc. - Pinnacle Award

• Renee Ahee, Ahee Communications, Inc.  - Diversity Champion Award

• Ashley Qualls, Whatever Life  - Rainmaker Award

• Thanh Thieu, Liquid Salon, LLC and Shoe Envy, LLC - Up and Coming Award

• Denise Roberts, Sales Partners-Troy  - Words of Wisdom Award

• Rosanne Oliver, Michigan Defense Contract Coordination Center, MEDC - Red Tape Buster Award

• Barbara Hendrickson, Design Incentives, Inc. - Warrior Award

• Pat McCants, You Can International - Global Business Award

• Terrie W. Henderson, TWW & Associates - Breakthrough Award

• Amy Courter, Civil Air Patrol, Inc. and Advanced Materials International - Giving Spirit Award

NAWBO will also honor Vista Maria with the Greater Good Award for the organization’s leadership. This special award recognizes an organization whose activities and actions have had a lasting impact on the quality of life and business in Detroit, Southeast Michigan and the state of Michigan.  

 This event will also feature a Business-to-Business showcase with exhibitors. Registration and exhibits will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the awards luncheon at noon.
